Taking Care

The title Taking Care refers to Jane McAdam Freud's recent exhibition of her work in Andora, Italy. In this exhibition Jane reflected on the relationship with her cultural roots and parents, especially with her father and great-grandfather, respectively, the painter Lucian Freud and the father of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud, to which she has devoted several works. Jane McAdam came to success without the name Freud. However, when Jane reconnected with her father after 23 years of separation they developed their relationship through her art and his.

The 'conversation' will be accompanied by slides of the work from her recent exhibitions.

Jane McAdam Freud's works have been acquired by numerous national and international Museums and some of her work is on permanent display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. A graduate from the Royal College of Art, she has received the British Art Medal Scholarship in Rome and the Italian State Mint Prize. (She teaches at Central St. Martins School of Art, Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Belgium and Morley College, London.)
