Lecture : Signs Of Autism In Infants, Recognition And Early Interventions
Lecture and videos about normal child development and developments that show difficulties in the autistic spectrum
The aim will be for attendants to learn to read and see signs that indicate a child is responding in a manner that is not conducive to good and enriching relationships with either his/her parents and the external world.Stella will dwell on the noisy and silent signs and will indicate a few points for early interventions.

Dr Acquarone is a practicing adult and child psychotherapist and has worked in the National Health Service for over thirty years on detecting early signs in the autistic spectrum and providing early intervention. 

Since 1970, Dr Acquarone has taught a range of subjects relating to infant mental health in a variety of academic institutions and hospitals.  These have included: Autistic Behaviours in children and Adolescents, Assessments and early Psychotherapeutic Interventions with Mothers and Babies; Coping with a Cerebral Palsy Baby; Depression in Infancy; theories of the Mind and its Application to understanding Autistic behaviour; Psychological Development in Small Children; and Infant observation; Clinical Research and different kinds of early Interventions.

Dr Acquarone is a Member of British Psychological Society, Association of Child Psychotherapy, London Centre for Psychotherapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the NHS and the United Kingdom Registry of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Founder of the Parent Infant Clinic and School of Infant Mental Health in London and author of Parent Infant Psychotherapy (Karnac 2004), Signs of Autism in Infants (Karnac 2007) and UPLALA - ‘Helping the Helpers’ (LUMEN 2010 Argentina).
